The man who died during police operation did not attack the officers!

A man lost his consciousness and died shortly after during an operation conducted by the officers of the Hungarian Counter-Terrorism Centre (TEK) in Salgótarján, Nógrád County. Now it is clear that he was not aggressive towards the officers, and nobody harmed him.

According to 24, TEK said in an announcement that local police asked for their help to take a local man into custody who they suspected of having guns. However, during the operation, the man suddenly lost his consciousness.

The doctor of the TEK unit immediately started to provide proper medical care for him following the professional rules and even by using a defibrillator. Other members of the unit trained to provide emergency healthcare also helped him, and in just a couple of minutes, an ambulance car arrived, too.

Despite the quick and professional help, however, the man died.

TEK told 24 that the time of death was 6:47 am, and the man was not aggressive and did not want to attack the officers. They said that the suspect did not have any guns, so they did not shoot. They added that court experts would be able to tell the cause of death, but the competent prosecutor appeared on the scene very quickly. Moreover, the prosecutor’s office already determined that the officers did not make a mistake in the issue. As a result, there is no reason to start an investigation.

Based on the information of the Hungarian news website, the 55-year-old man was diabetic and struggled with heart problems.
